Happy Birthday, Scorpio! Several times over the last few months, we've mentioned that the universe has been very interested in your relationships. This month it's time for us to add another piece to the puzzle of your life by addressing the ongoing influence of Uranus in Pisces, in your solar 5th house of love affairs, children, and creative matters.
Uranus as a planet is associated with upheaval. If you've experienced upheaval in these areas of your life at any time since mid-2003, feel absolutely free to blame it on Uranus. Since Uranus is transiting the non-materialistic sign of Pisces, this placement, which began in earnest at the beginning of 2004, and which will continue through February 2011, is more about your philosophy than anything else. As in there's more to love, kids, creativity, and life than you ever had reason to realize before. As in maybe love at first sight is a real phenomenon.
Now I'm not going to guarantee that every single one of you Scorpios is going to experience love at first sight this month, or even sometime before the end of this Uranus transit. Some of you are married and have kids and romance is not on your agenda. What I am saying is that if you are open to it, Uranus is more than willing to help you get a lot more love in your life, in whatever form that might take, before it leaves Pisces. It's just that. . .the process may be bumpy, and it will take a little effort on your part.
The universe is going out of its way to help you, I'll give it that. The process started in mid-2003, when not only did Uranus move into your house of love affairs, but you started experiencing eclipses in your own and opposite sign of Taurus. Eclipses in your own and opposite sign inevitably affect relationships. They are like little earthquakes that prepare the ground for a higher level of functioning. For some of you the work may have gone relatively quickly, and you may be happily learning from a relatively new relationship.
For others, the process may take a little longer. The last eclipse in the series took place on April 24 of this year, and from this point the actual ground shaking will hopefully settle down. Hopefully. With Uranus, you never know. The whole point of these eclipses was to get you to express yourself more forcefully. Scorpios supposedly don't need lessons in expressing themselves forcefully, but the truth is, everyone does from time to time. Self-expression is hard for everyone, it takes practice and self-knowledge, and we could all use the occasional bump up in our skills. The eclipses were supposed to help accomplish that for you. Not necessarily a major transformation, but an improvement.
No sooner did the eclipses end than Mars suddenly darts into your opposite sign of Taurus for an extended stay (from the end of July through mid-February of next year). When the universe wants to emphasize your relationships, it really wants to emphasize your relationships. In the meantime, Jupiter moves into your own sign this solar month, setting up the crucial question of balance between relationships and self. This is a continuation of the learning process set in motion by the eclipses. The universe is giving you lots of chances to get the equation right.
Now, this solar month, Uranus will be in happy trine to your sun and to Jupiter, and in a pretty decent angle to Mars as well. Bingo! this spells opportunity to make use of this Uranus placement while the planets are hot and on your side. So what do you do?
Well, if you're like many people and you want love in your life, the time to start thinking about it big time is right now. This is the perfect time to get a brilliant idea, or a series of brilliant ideas, as to where and how to meet the love of your life, pursue him or her, rejigger your attitudes for greater harmony, take a chance, or do whatever your heart tells you. Luck is apparently on your side for the moment, and if you've been waiting since mid-2003 for things to finally go right in this area - now is the time to tell yourself that they will.
Really. Think about it. What can you do to bring romance into your life, or up the love factor in your relationships? Feel free to obsess about it if your Scorpio nature is so inclined. Jupiter will be in good angle to Uranus for an entire year, and you have this chance, this rare chance to figure out how to be in love with someone and yet remain true to yourself at the same time. Some people never figure out that tricky equation and here the universe is throwing good energy into your lap. Take advantage of it!
If you are firmly opposed to romance (or even I suppose if you aren't), you can also use this month's good energies on creative endeavors of all sorts. If you're in the mood to be a creative genius, well go right ahead. The universe is on your side. If you'd prefer to use this energy to improve your relationships with your children, you can do that too.
What I'm getting at here is that Uranus is a very powerful planet. It's one thing to have Jupiter in your sign, that's cool, but it's another thing entirely to have Jupiter and Uranus getting along with each other. That's the kind of thing that can bring ecstatic and unexpected good news and good luck. This month and next these two planets are getting along with each other pretty darn well, and they remain friends all the way throughout almost of all 2006.
Take heart, take hope, work this transit for all its worth. With all the relationship upheaval the universe has been conspiring to put you through over the last few years, you really do deserve it. I'll say it again, you're even allowed to obsess if you want. Dream, fantasize, plot, strategize, and above all believe. Oh yeah, and don't forget to make your new moon birthday wish on November 2nd.

Okey doke, Aries, let's see what the universe has on tap for you. This month, we're highlighting Uranus, which is currently roiling around in your solar 12th house. This may not seem like a big deal, since the 12th house is kind of a low-key hidden house, but Uranus as a planet is anything but low-key and hidden. It's the planet of revolution and when it gets the party started, it really gets the party started. What this planet is going for is a complete overhaul of your established, yet unconscious, attitudes towards life. This is kind of a strange thing for a planet to want to do perhaps, and it may take some strange paths toward the goal. Having been through a Uranus in the solar 12th experience myself, I can tell you that when this planet wants to bring things to your attention, it really wants to bring them to your attention. Crises, sudden decision points, stuff you were going to put off but now it turns out you absolutely positively need to deal with immediately. These are Uranus things. This planet could show up anywhere. The rug of job security suddenly being pulled out from beneath your feet? That would be Uranus wanting you to find out what you really want in a job. Spouse threatening divorce? That would be Uranus wanting you to figure out how you really feel about marriage. Sudden confusion about things that ought to be clear? Well, you can chock that up to Uranus in Pisces too. Even unexpected and temporarily crippling self-doubts can be the work of this planet. The way is not clear when this placement gets activated.
Fortunately, during this solar month the sun and Jupiter are in a good angle to Uranus, and you have a momentary chance to work this transit to your benefit. Uranus actually entered Pisces for a long stay at the beginning of 2004 and it'll hang out there until early 2011. So this complete overhaul in your attitudes is a part of the universe's long term agenda. It's just that when the sun is in a water sign (Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer), you've got a chance to wrestle this wild horse of a planet to the ground for a bit and figure out what you want to do. You have two basic options with Uranus in Pisces. Option #1: Live with uncertainty. If you are one of those Ariens experiencing more than your share of uncertainty these days (I know quite a few are), you can choose to just . . . live with uncertainty. You don't have to control the whole universe, and you can't anyway. The planets aren't really on your side in that endeavor, so you can just hang out with uncertainty and get used to it. This is not a bad option.
The other option, which may appeal to you more, is to make up your mind on the key issues that keep coming up in your life. If it's job stuff, use this month while the Sun, Jupiter, and Uranus are all in a good mood with each other to sit down and make some decisions and decide what you want to do, and what you think is right. Sometimes you just can't know all the facts you'd like, but you've got to decide anyway. It doesn't actually matter what decision you make right now (from your chart's perspective), as long you follow your own mind. If it's relationship stuff, do the same thing. Stuff with the kids, do the same thing. Money stuff, do the same thing. Just make up your mind what you think about your life, even if you in no way can predict the future the way we'd all like to. Taurus, this month I'm going to ask you to spend a little time thinking about your friendships. Let me explain why. Since around the beginning of 2004, Uranus has been transiting your solar 11th house of friendships. Uranus is a planet associated in sudden changes in the sector it travels. The sign of Taurus is generally known for not being convinced that sudden change is a good thing in any sector. Uranus would like to help you believe otherwise. It will attempt to do this in a typically backhanded way, though.
For example, Uranus transiting the house of friendships can lead to a sudden falling out (or series of them) with a friend or friends you thought were important to you. It can lead to estrangements for reasons you don't really understand. It can mean friends you thought you could rely on suddenly let you down in the lurch. It can make you feel that you don't really understand what the heck is going on with you and your friends. These don't sound like the kinds of things that would convince anybody that change is a good thing.
Uranus has a method behind its madness though. It believes, it really firmly believes, that you can get more out your friendships than you think. Maybe you need a whole bunch of new friendships to replace the outdated and worn relationships you wouldn't otherwise being willing to let go of without some planetary help. Maybe you need to learn how to get closer to and form deeper bonds with the friends you already have. And Uranus realizes you won't do that unless a crisis forces the issues and makes you reassess your friendships. And Uranus is right in a way. It's almost a cliche that it's in crisis that you learn who your friends really are. That's how Uranus thinks anyway. Often effective, not always fun.
However, this month, Uranus will be in a rare good mood with the Sun and Jupiter in Scorpio, and its feeling pretty kindly towards Mars in your own sign. You have an opportunity, starting this month, to actively think about your friendships and make some progress there. Your ideas on this subject are likely to be good at this time, and if you're experiencing difficulties with any friends, this is a good time to make a breakthrough.
There's more to it than that, though. This thing with Uranus is part of a larger trend in your chart towards getting you out of your rut (whatever that rut may be) and having you interact with the larger world on a bigger scale. With Mars in your own sign through February, you have a chance to reach out personally, either to your existing friends, or to make new ones. Your personal power is strong. It's possible you have insecurities to battle (most of us do), but now is the right time to battle them. If you're hesitant to ask friends for help, this is a good month to break that barrier. If you've felt communication difficulties, disharmony, or even boredom, this is a good month to address those issues. Even if you've felt nothing but sweetness, light, and happiness in your friendships, this is still a good month to be willing to make new friends. Jupiter moving into your solar 7th is wanting to expand your relationships every which way as it is, so you might as well take advantage of its favorable attitude toward friends. This is not a short term trend. Uranus won't actually leave Pisces and your solar 11th house until 2011. It's just that right now, a lot of other planets are cooperating. See if you can think of something to improve your friendships now. It's a good time. And, as Martha Stewart would say, it's a good thing.

Gemini, this month we're going to talk about your career and public standing for a bit in the hopes of putting you in a good mood. The planet Uranus has been transiting Pisces in your solar 10th house basically since the beginning of 2004. It will continue to do so until 2011. Lots of people think Uranus in the solar 10th is a difficult placement, but for you I think it's quite good. Uranus is a planet associated with intellectual genius, and if there's one thing Geminis appreciate it's intellectual genius. During this month, the Sun will join the party, making for a generally festive mood in all items occupation related. Essentially, right now you've got the inner stuff, the right stuff mentally, to improve your occupational status and way others see you.
So the question on the table right now is--are you currently in an occupation that allows your mind, with all its gifts, to be utilized in a practical and inspiring way? Let me put that more concisely. Do you like your job? If not, put it on your to-do list to mull the occupational question over until you are struck by a sudden brilliant insight into how you can improve your future. Mars in your solar 12th house will help in this matter so announce firmly to yourself that you are expecting brilliant insights and eventually you will get some.
If you do like your job, just play this transit to the hilt. Your work related ideas and activities are likely to be quite good right now. I'm not saying that you'll see instant results and that promotions and attractive new job offers will come flying at you from all directions this month. Could happen, but that's not really the point. The point is that you are uniquely gifted--even if you don't actually have a job at the moment. Realize this. Acknowledge this, honor this, mull on this, and plan how you can both capitalize on these gifts and put them toward the greater good. Cancer this sounds to me like a good month for you to kick back and enjoy yourself. You've got a Grand Trine configuration going on, with Jupiter and the Sun heading into Scorpio, Uranus in Pisces and your own natal sun in Cancer. Water signs redux. Let's talk about Uranus in Pisces for a moment, since Uranus is our spotlight planet of the month. Uranus is a planet associated with inventors, and while I don't want to stretch the analogy too far, in a way what you have during this transit (which started in 2004 basically and continues til 2011) is a chance to reinvent certain parts of yourself and your life. What you want to reinvent is pretty much up to you because the 9th house covers a lot of disparate ground.
For the next 12 or 13 months, for example, you could use the nice angle between Jupiter and Uranus to work on emotional development. With Jupiter wanting to expand your love life, and Uranus in a sign associated with the most exalted of feelings, you could find yourself in a relationship that opens up the deeper levels of your feeling and bonding nature. To put it another way, you could learn what love really is.
On the other hand, you could also use Uranus for occupational development. The combination of Pisces and the 9th house supports things like public service, government work, or any kind of selfless work that helps the public sector. Again, with Jupiter in a happy angle to this planet, you may find that your love relationship with someone opens you up to possibilities of doing work that helps society or makes a positive contribution. Even if you don't start working for the public sector yourself, you could become more involved in these kinds of activities through your partner (or even your children, as Jupiter in the solar 5th also deals with your children).
For other Cancers, 9th house development could come through education or long distance travel, relocating, or being willing to embark on adventures. The 9th house also has an association with the law, publishing, philosophy, and the media. It's quite a mixed bag of potential opportunities. The bottom line is that for a year or so, there is a connection between self-expression, your love life, and your overall development as a human being.
This beneficial energy is just beginning, so your first step is to make a plan. Leo, this month we address another piece of the puzzle that is your life by talking about Uranus in Pisces. Uranus has been in this sign continuously since the beginning of 2004 and it will stay there until 2011. In your solar chart, Pisces represents the 8th house, a mysterious and unusual house if there ever was one.
The general effect (or at least the intended effect) of this transit is to make you more sensitive, particularly to your partner, and for the next year or so perhaps, to your family. The sign of Leo could use an increase in sensitivity usually, and the purpose of this transit is to make you more appealing to others on a deep personal level. The sign of Leo is generally appealing on a not so personal, public level--in fact, Leo is the single best sign for an entertainment industry career or anything else that requires a lot of self-promotion. But self-promotion and intimacy don't always go together that well. Think of Donald Trump, who represents classic Leo energy in his public persona. Impressive and appealing, not to mention tremendously successful. But then think of his marriages. Not quite as successful.
Now obviously all Leos don't act like Donald Trump and they don't all have multiple marriages either. It's just that somewhere down deep, intimacy makes their sun sign nervous and somewhat uncomfortable. This is not a fatal flaw, but it does prevent Leos from feeling that they're getting the love they crave. Uranus in Pisces sets out to correct this problem, or at least make some headway against it. It tries to throw Leos and their partners into situations where they need to rely on each other, and make their relationship stronger. Often it does this by creating financial strain. (The 8th house particularly impacts joint finances.) Sometimes it does this by encouraging spending (Uranus, by the way, likes to spend money on electronic gadgets and new technology, so if you or your partner are spending heavily on this type of equipment, you know which planet to thank or blame). The spending sometimes leads to debt (another 8th house specialty), or other complications. Sometimes Uranus in the 8th causes tax problems, inheritance tangles, or complicated insurance settlement matters.
Whatever kinds of problems Uranus does or doesn't cause for you Leos over this and the next several years, it's important to keep in mind what it's really after: deeper relationships. With Jupiter in Scorpio over the next year trining this placement, the general idea is for you to get closer to family, spouse, lover, or whoever else is your most intimate companion. This month the energy is particularly strong as the sun joins Jupiter to trine Uranus and square your natal sun by sign.
Here's your task for the month, as you head down the path of accidentally enriching your relationships: ask for help. Like the other fixed signs, you're facing a slew of square aspects this month and that tends to create stress and too much to do. So ask for help. Hard for many people, usually not easy for Leos. But do it anyway. See how it works for you. If you can get the asking for help thing working for you early in this year-long Jupiter cycle, you'll be in much better shape to withstand the pressure of Saturn in your sign, and all those fixed squares. VIRGO: AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22
This month we're talking particularly about Uranus in Pisces, which is a pretty big deal for lots of Virgos since it's impacting their solar 7th house and opposite sign. This transit kicked into high gear in 2004 and will continue until early 2011. It's the kind of transit that can make you want to throw in the towel and give up on marriage and partnership altogether. Try not to. Uranus is the planet of unexpected forward leaps, and they usually happen right around the time you've decided that everything's gone permanently down the toilet. You are getting somewhere Virgo, you're just not getting there in the way your Virgo heart would have preferred.
Now I know a lot of you have much to deal with. Many of you in your forties are also dealing with the effect of Uranus opposing your natal Pluto, and some of you have other planets in Virgo besides the sun for Uranus to take aim at. I know. I know. Some of you are having hellacious marriage problems, and some of you are experiencing tremendous worries or upheavals associated with your spouses. There also may be worries about kids, health, or business partners. I know. I know.
I'll admit it. Some of these aspects can cause a certain amount of pain and suffering, as they root around through your relationships at the deepest level. If these aspects are hitting you hard lately, do remember that it's okay to indulge in a bit of escape. Movies, books, art museums, music, a walk by the ocean--these are the kinds of things that soothe Uranus in Pisces problems, at least temporarily. Make abundant use of them if necessary. A little alone time can help too.
See, what's happening is that the universe is conspiring to make you less like a Virgo and more like a Pisces and that means breaking down whatever barriers you have put up in your life to protect yourself. To put it another way, when it comes to your relationships these days, you're not really in control; the other party has more influence. This isn't really what the sign of Virgo likes, it thinks not being in control is dangerous to its well-being. Not being in control is scary to the Virgo sign.
Fortunately, Jupiter is moving into Scorpio this month to help you, and the sun is joining him for the month as well. Both of these planets are in your third house of communication and they want you to listen. The first key to effective communication is listening. There's more to it than that, of course, but listening is a fundamental element. Spend this month listening to the people you are close to. Listen if things seem to be going crappy; listen if they seem to be going well. Uranus is trying to bring a deeper level of love into your life. It really believes it can do this, even if it looks like it is just causing problems. But you won't know the love is there unless you're able to shut up and listen for it. Not easy for anyone. Sometimes you have to listen really hard to know what's going on. But it pays off. The faster you can learn to really really listen to what the people you love are trying to tell you--the easier these transits will be and the faster they will pay off for you. Listen.
And then when you're tired of that, sneak off and catch a movie or something. Everybody needs a break now and again.

LIBRA: SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 22
In 2004, Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, began transiting Pisces and your solar 6th house of health and work in earnest. As far as health goes, this placement can work out in a couple of different ways. One way is that a chronic health problem could suddenly be alleviated, leaving you skipping around like a 21 year old again. You could feel yourself bouncing around with energy, as Uranus is a very energetic planet.
If you've had any chronic health problems and you haven't been able to get a satisfactory diagnosis or treatment, it's worth to keep at it. This is the kind of aspect that can lead to a sudden breakthrough. After years of trying, you may finally be able to find someone who can really help you. Uranus in Pisces also supports alternative and complementary medicine. Practices like can meditation can function as health aids now.
Uranus in Pisces can also do the opposite--bring unexpected and disruptive health problems to light. Again, in these cases, making use of alternative and complementary approaches to health can help. Even if health concerns aren't currently on your list of items to deal with, taking up meditation, yoga, or some kinds of martial arts can work to your health advantage now, as a way of channeling that Uranus energy.
Uranus in the 6th also impacts work matters. The placement supports work that has a humanitarian or noble objective. Since Libra generally excels at harmonizing groups of people, the overall effect of this placement is to try to pull you toward some work or volunteer endeavor that brings a group together to accomplish something that benefits society or the greater good. If your work doesn't have that component, or if it nicks at your conscience and you don't feel entirely good about what you do, this placement will eventually try to tear you away from your current occupation and replace it with something that suits your sensibilities better.
During the current month, Jupiter and the sun in your solar 2nd house of money, possessions and financial security are trining Uranus in Pisces. This suggests that you could benefit financially by engaging in work that serves the greater good. Unexpected opportunities could arise. If your work life is less than ideal, it's time to start believing, with every level of your being, that it's possible for you to find a situation that makes you actually want to get up and go to work everyday. Lots of money and a job you love. That's your goal (or one of them) for the next 12 or 13 months. You have to make this happen though, by being willing to change. The trine by sign between Uranus in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio will last a good long time, and the universe will be willing to present you with opportunities. SAGITTARIUS: NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21
Sagittarius, I'm going to suggest you indulge your senses this month or, if you have one, your artistic side. It's the month before your birthday and things are roiling around in your subconscious, getting ready for your new solar year. The Sagittarian subconscious tends to be filled with emotions it doesn't understand, and things like music, nature, art, and other types of emotional release and escape could be good for you right now. Jupiter moving into your solar 12th house this month is aiming to up your psychic sensitivity, and perhaps your worry level along with it. Your inner voice is likely to start becoming particularly strong. If you work in a field where innovation or sudden insights are helpful, your ability to make breakthroughs over the coming 12 months could drastically increase.
Meanwhile, Uranus in Pisces is transiting your 4th solar house of home related matters. With Saturn in Leo in your solar 9th, a certain percentage of you are facing a lot of home related worries or disruptions. Some of you will be moving long distances over the next couple of years. It may be difficult to keep things stable, and you may have worries about family members. This Uranian placement actually began in earnest in 2004 and will continue through the beginning of 2011. CAPRICORN: DECEMBER 22 - JANUARY 19
Capricorn, this month we're talking about a little bit about the transit of Uranus through Pisces in your solar 3rd house of communication and your daily environment. Pisces is a dreamy sign with a big picture focus. Plunk Uranus down in the middle of it and the two of them would be happy to spend all their time talking about seeing auras and sensing "vibes." If you are the type of Capricorn person who likes to spend a lot of time talking about auras and vibes, this placement will suit you just fine.
If you're not, you could feel this transit is occasionally trying to send you round the bend, as it does have the effect of making people more sensitive to their immediate environment, whether they want to be or not. However, there is a way for you to divert this energy and make practical use of the transit at the same time. Your sun sign loves the word practical and it's pricking up its ears even as Ispeak. Uranus rules electronics, technology, the Internet, gadgets, and all that modern stuff. The third house deals with, among other things, picking up skills. That means picking up the phone and enrolling in a computer class that will teach you how to actually use that software you know will help you at work but you don't really want to learn. Anything and everything that you do to more smoothly integrate yourself into the world of modern technology is of some benefit to you. If the only modern technology you're interested in is the TiVo, well I guess that's okay too. But do something to keep yourself updated.
You don't actually have to drag yourself more completely into the 21st century right this minute. Uranus will actually stay in Pisces until 2011. But judging from the resistance my Capricorn friends are showing already, I thought it best to mention it now, so that there's a fighting chance you'll have actually taken that computer class by the end of 2010. Besides, right now there's a happy trine between the sun and Jupiter in Scorpio and Uranus in Pisces. This means essentially that getting on the stick with modern technology will help open up your friendships, and your friendships will help introduce you to the latest gadgets it turns out you need. There's a nice reciprocity going on. And the reciprocity between Jupiter and Uranus continues for another 12 or 13 months. Which means that you really have to do something this year to upgrade your technological life--and when you do, you'll love it.

AQUARIUS: JANUARY 20 - FEBRUARY 18
I don't know if you've noticed Aquarius, but you kind of have too much going on your chart. In prior months, we've touched on some square aspects that are affecting you and the other fixed signs. We've mentioned Saturn in your opposite sign, Mars tearing through your solar 4th, and Jupiter moving into your career sector. All that stuff is relatively new, and some of it I suppose may be relatively urgent. But there's a whole 'nother layer of stuff going on in your chart in the background.
Neptune, one of the humongous outer planets, has been drifting through your sign since 1998, either messing up your life or making you very happy, depending on its mood. Meanwhile, Uranus, your very own ruling planet, has been spinning through the sign that Neptune rules, which is Pisces. Neptune and Uranus are therefore in mutual reception (each in the sign the other one rules), and this affects you more than anyone.
These two big dogs in the sky have been trying for a good nine or ten years to expand your inner Aquarian self to the point where it won't fit inside your ordinary life any longer. At some point, it, your inner Aquarian self, is supposed to want to come bursting out of your chest more or less like that thing from the movie "Alien." The bursting process may not be quite that alarming, but still...it's been a rather dramatic planetary ride in some ways. Some of you may have done your bursting already, and made substantial changes in your life. Others may be on the verge of bursting any moment.
The general purpose of this bursting, and the dance these two planets are doing, is to make you very weird. Okay, well that's not exactly the purpose maybe, although that may be the effect at times. It's more like these planets have been trying to convince you that your peculiarities, whatever they may be, are your gifts. This month, as Jupiter and the sun move into a trine by sign with Uranus, there's a certain lesson here.
The lesson is that if you ever want to make any real money, and achieve personal security, and live the way you want, you've gonna have to go ahead and indulge your inner rebel, your inner reformer, your inner weirdo, and follow your own particular dreams, even though they look like very bad ideas to most people. Uranus in your second solar house of possessions, security, and moola, just isn't going to settle for the daily grind forever. It's got bursting on its mind. Jupiter in your career sector for the next 13 months is going to be willing to conspire with Uranus (and argue with Neptune) towards making your career type dreams come true. Your dreams, not your ambitions. Your dreams, not your practical plans. So...
Here's the deal. You've got a lot of planets pulling at you these days, until your conscientious Aquarian nature almost can't take it anymore. Family issues, house issues, significant other issues, health issues, personal issues, career issues...the planets are piling on the issues. In hopes, strangely enough, of convincing you that your conscientious attempt to deal with all this will not work, and that at some point, you're going to have to go ahead and follow your dreams and not your conscience. I'll repeat that. At some point before Uranus leaves Pisces in 2011, you're going to have to start following your dreams--not your conscience. The daily grind of meeting obligations will not work. Your dreams can pay off big time, financially and emotionally, the daily grind just won't.
Now I'm not going to say that if the Alien comes bursting out of your chest at some point during the next 13 months and you run screaming down the hall that you're quitting your job to develop a line of cosmetics for dogs, that everything will turn out to be just hunky dory immediately. It probably won't. There's a lot going on in the sky. Things are not easy. You may not make much progress in the coming year on the universe's plan for you to gain world domination at some point in your future. But you need to be working on it anyway. Plotting your exit from the routine. Plotting how to make the big bucks, enjoy the big happiness, and achieve the big security, by doing something meaningful instead of dutiful.
Here's the first step. For the next 30 days, even if you're really really busy (and you might be), spend 45 minutes each morning writing down your thoughts, your night time dreams, your day dreams, your musings, your speculations. Let your agile Aquarian brain have half an hour or an hour each day to sort things out and figure out how to sneakily get you out from under all these square aspects and into the life you need to be living. If you don't gain anything from this exercise after 30 days, then go ahead and drop it. But you'll probably gain a lot, and developing this habit could help Jupiter make your career life finally start to snap, crackle, pop by the end of next year.

PISCES: FEBRUARY 19 - MARCH 20
Pisces, this month we address what is a fairly significant transit for you, the passage of Uranus through your own sign. Hosting Uranus in your own sign can be fairly exhausting at times as Uranus is an energetic planet, and it sometimes encourages frantic activity. On the other hand, Uranus in Pisces also likes to spend a fair amount of time hanging out in a tie-dye T-shirt looking at the groovy pictures and saying "far out, man." It's the sort of placement that values mental and spiritual expansion over social conformity. It's been valuing your mental and spiritual expansion since 2004 and will continue to do so, in fits and starts, all the way through the early part of 2011.
Another thing Uranus in Pisces encourages is psychic ability. Pisces are supposed to be somewhat on the psychic side to begin with, and Uranus in the sign ups the potential quite a bit. Add the fact that your ruling planet Neptune is slowly passing through your solar 12th house, and you've got triple the ordinary Piscean psychic tendencies. Just be aware of this. If you suddenly get all psychic (or already have), don't freak out. Well, okay, you can freak out if you want to, but just be aware it's a fairly normal manifestation of these placements.
Yet a third thing Uranus in your own sign can do is increase your original thinking. This can come in fairly handy in furthering your ambitions, if you have any, and can be an electrifying side effect of hosting Uranus. However, these are all long-term things, so let's talk about the present for a bit. This month Jupiter (and the sun, briefly) move into a trine by sign with Uranus. Jupiter will be in your solar 9th house of development, and when you add it all up, personal growth and development are on your planetary agenda for the next 13 months.
The rub is, so are work issues. Saturn in Leo in your solar 6th could start causing you anxiety fits at work (as well as making you want to quit if there's an unsatisfactory situation there). And all of this activity in the solar 6th may play tug of war this year with your need for work on your personal issues and growth. Here's the thing. Your personal growth is more important long term than whatever dramas may arise in your working situation. Not that you don't have to deal with them if they occur, you do, but your evolvement as a human being means more in the long term than getting a work project done on time (or done at all). So you'll need to consciously strive for balance and not neglect yourself. With Jupiter in the 9th, your personal growth is likely to be a lot more fun than work stuff anyway. Figuring out how to balance work and daily life with self and broader issues is your task for the month. There's no right answer here, it's just that the position of four planets in fixed signs indicate that it will take some conscious effort and choice to meet the competing demands of your chart. You can do it. It may take awhile, but you can figure out a workable balancing strategy.

JUPITER: MAGNETIC ATTRACTION
One of the factors affecting everybody these days is Uranus' long transit through the sensitive and romantic sign of Pisces. Uranus settled into Pisces for good in 2004 and it intends to stay there all the way through the beginning of 2011. In the process it will indeed make some people more sensitive and romantic (Cancers, Virgos, Leos most particularly). For others, it will shake up their occupational life (Geminis, Aquarians, and Libras can expect some of this). It will affect everyone to some extent, and usually in a startling way.
Uranus operates on two different time scales. One is very slow, and the other is very fast. It takes seven full years for it to make its journey through a single sign. Changes will generally occur for you in the sector it transits, but changes that take place over the course of seven years sometimes don't really attract our attention. It's like they happened accidentally through the drifting of time. For example, at the beginning of its transit through your 11th house you may have one set of friends. At the end of its transit, you may have an entirely different group you hang out with. You didn't plan this, maybe weren't even thinking about it, but somehow it happened.
Uranus, though, also works with lightning quick speed. If you've experienced a moment where your life changed overnight--that's Uranus. Disturbances, agitation, suddenness, shock, surprise--those are the key concepts for Uranus. Memorize that list and you'll be somewhat prepared for what it does. Sometimes disturbances are just disturbing, and agitation just agitating, but sometimes suddenness is a great thing. As in suddenly winning the lottery, getting your chance to appear on Leno as a stand-up comic, or whatever other improbable thing you'd always wanted but never thought would happen. Uranus can make these kinds of things happen, and sometimes it does. It's the kind of planet that can wake you up in the middle of the night with an absolutely brilliant idea--or an inexplicable panic attack. It never telegraphs its intentions in advance, and sometimes it seems to act with no reason. If it all sounds a bit hard to handle, well sometimes it is.
Fortunately for everyone though, Uranus in Pisces offers a really good opportunity for the next 13 months. Jupiter in Scorpio and Uranus in Pisces are going to be in a happy trine by sign. Jupiter is the kind of planet Uranus tends to get along with anyway, and the fact that they'll be buddies for a year is apt to put it in a better mood than usual. When these two planets hook up the principle at work is magnetic attraction. For the next year or so, you and I and everyone else have an opportunity to put this principle to work.
The idea is to combine Uranus mind power (it's a big time mind power planet) with Jupiter's ability to attract good things. This is more of an affirmations and mental focus effect than a working real hard to make something happen effect. Uranus doesn't reward hard work; it believes in short cuts. It doesn't reward sensible planning either; planning just bores and annoys it. If you insist on making carefully laid plans in the sector Uranus is traveling for you, at some point it will kick over your apple cart and send all your little plans spilling all over everywhere, just because it's a contrary planet that way. So the thing is to avoid hard work and sensible plans in the sector Uranus is affecting in your life. Instead practice wrapping your mind around the idea that you can magnetically attract whatever you need in that sector. Practice believing that stuff will come to you, instead of you racing all over town to get it. If you need a mate, practice believing that you can, in fact, attract one. If you need a job, practice believing that you can attract opportunities to capitalize on. If you need answers to difficult personal problems, practice believing that they will come to you if you're willing to wait and listen to your inner voice for them.
This sort of principle is a lazy person's dream. It's also an efficient way to make use of the energy available in the universe. Many times it makes a lot more sense to keep your eyes open and see what kinds of opportunities develop than to frantically search for solutions. Keep calm and centered in the sector Uranus travels (not necessarily always easy), and focus your mind on attracting what you need. For example, if you need help with health issues, focus on attracting the right doctor. This kind of happy alignment between Jupiter and Uranus won't happen again for awhile so make the most of it while you can. And good luck!

Simply start with your own sign and count around the zodiac until you reach the sign you're interested in. For example, if you're a Gemini, the sign of your solar 3rd house is Leo. Pisces is the sign of your solar 10th house. Astrologers who publish horoscopes use sun signs and solar houses for several reasons: a) almost everyone knows their birthday; b) they're easy to calculate; and c) they actually do have some effect. However, if you get a personal reading from a professional astrologer, he or she will almost always use transits to your natal houses to give you a reading instead. Natal houses are based on your rising sign, which is determined by the exact time, place, and day you were born. Transits to your natal planets and houses have at least as much effect on your life as transits to your solar houses, sometimes quite a bit more. If you really want to know your chart, and get better horoscopes, you should find out your rising sign (also called Ascendant). If you know the exact time and place of your birth, you can do this for free at a wonderful website - www.astro.com. Click on the link near the top that says 'Free Horoscopes'. On that page, scroll down to the link that says 'Chart Drawing, Ascendant'. Follow the prompts to enter the information concerning your birth time, date, and place. You'll get a chart that shows your Ascendant (the sign next to the designation 'AC'). To the left will be a box listing your planetary placements. Next to the listing for 'AC' your rising sign will be listed along with the degree of your Ascendant within that sign. Make a note of that sign and be sure to check the horoscope and keywords for your Ascendant as well as your sun sign!
TRACK YOUR RESULTS! Next month when you come back here for your next horoscope, take 30 seconds to assess the results of the action you took last month as a result of your horoscope.
